Australian producer Godlands has released her new EP, GODSP33D, and it's set to melt your face off (in the best way possible). The EP features a quartet of tracks that'll test out your favourite speaker system. Her booming trap production will rattle your walls, so make sure any pictures you've got hanging up are firmly secured. No one wants smashed glass on the floor.
Speaking about GODSP33D, Godlands says, “Coming out of the depths of the pandemic to create this EP was something that not only scared me but also challenged me. The momentum of my life and career had significantly changed as did everyone’s. However, it allowed me to really stop and figure out what I wanted and what type of artist I wanted to be.
"I had the chance to hone in on my techniques and learn new ones, while focusing on improving myself and my craft. This EP shows a step above what I have produced prior and has a lot more cohesiveness.” Opening track GODSP33D takes inspiration from the new wave of trap, while Godlands teamed up with British producer Tisoki for Tell Me, a track that'll fill any dancefloor. It's a collaboration that Godlands describes as a "dream come true".
To celebrate the release of the EP, Godlands spoke to us about the creation of each track. It's an EP that's full of festival-ready drops, and it's the perfect project to throw on next time you're at kick ons. The party might just go to a whole new level.
GODSP33D
I was really inspired by the current trap scene and the new up sound a lot of producers such as knock2, isoxo, and frosttop are pushing. I feel like there’s a resurgence of this new sound of trap brewing currently that really excited me. Honestly, this track came together so quickly. I think the bare bones of it took me 24 hours and it only really needed a touch-up here and there.
SCUMBAG
I wanted a bit more of a headbanger with this one. It really does come down to just that. No thoughts, only wubs.
TELL ME (with Tisoki)
Tisoki hit me up because I sent him the original version. He loved it and really wanted to jump on the track. It's literally a dream come true. I've always wanted to work with him. Tisoki added his smackin’ drums and that second drop wub that we are all too familiar with. It was a joy to work with him and to now call him a mate.

ALL NIGHT
ALL NIGHT was another track that came together really quickly. I think when I have those instant moments when I’m creating, it’s in my peak element. There aren't many songs I've created that come together so quickly. This track is nice and vibey with those trap/hip hop elements sprinkled in, it just really rounds out the EP.
