Sydney producer Golden Features has returned with the massive new single Touch, and it's a thumping track that features Melbourne's Rromarin. The pair previously joined forces on the 2018 track Woodcut, and Touch is equally as electrifying. Rromarin's haunting vocals mesh perfectly with the track's club-ready production, and Touch is another dancefloor anthem from Golden Features. What a return!
It's been a little while since we've heard new music from Golden Features. Following his 2018 debut album SECT, Golden Features teamed up with ODESZA for the collaborative project BRONSON in 2020 - but he hasn't released a solo track since 2019.
Recognising the need to recharge following the release of the acclaimed SECT, Golden Features spent time in Berlin, soaking in the atmosphere of countless nights spent at renowned nightclubs. Spending time in Berlin has reenergised Golden Features, and he recently returned to Australia with a renewed focus. Touch is imbued with the energy of those nights spent discovering new music. Make sure you've got your dancing shoes on when you're listening to this.
Speaking about Touch, Golden Features explains, “Touch was born from that synth riff. I fought it for so long, feeling it was too happy and upbeat. After giving it some space I reharmonized everything under the riff and it instantly made me feel something. Claire (Rromarin) had actually recorded these vocals for another song on the record, but the lyrics just felt right for Touch.

"To me it encapsulates that feeling after the rave... At the kick-on laying with your head in somebody's lap, smoking a cigarette while they play with your hair.” Stay tuned for more from Golden Features, and check out Touch below!
