Halsey has dropped the news that she's got a new album coming out, and she's done it in one of the most creative ways we've seen yet.

She gave fans almost no notice that they'd be able to watch a video or stream new music via manicthealbum.com, which links to the video below of her painting.

She's also just dropped a new single called Graveyard today, a stripped back track that sounds nothing like the raucous energy we saw in Nightmare.

Halsey says, "the song is about being in love with someone who is in a bad place and loving them so much that you don't realise that you're going to that bad place with them. It's also about learning to care about yourself enough not to follow them there."

The album, titled Manic, is a reflection of Halsey's bipolar disorder, and was written by her entirely while in a manic state. Speaking about the album to Rolling Stone back in June, Halsey said it sounds like “hip-hop, rock, country, fucking everything — because it’s so manic. It’s soooooo manic,” she said. “It’s literally just, like, whatever the fuck I felt like making; there was no reason I couldn’t make it.”

Manic, which is yet to receive a release date, is a follow-up to 2017's Hopeless Fountain Kingdom.

Since then, Halsey has dropped multiple singles, including Without Me, her first #1 song. Plus, this New Year's she's headed our way for Falls Festival nationally.
