From indie pop to dance-pop to grungy rock to pop punk, Halsey can do it all with her incredibly versatile voice. And in a turn we never expected but are accepting with WIDE open arms, Halsey has hit up BBC1's Live Lounge to cover Jonas Brothers' peppy new song Sucker as a lounge jazz song.
Surprised? Same.
It's like we're instantly transported to a dark, dingy cabaret bar in New York City in the 1930s, where Halsey's lolling about like Ally Maine from The Star Is Born on top of a piano. It's sultry, it's powerful, it's swoonworthy - frankly, it's an instant classic.
Even the Jonas Brothers have flipped about it, calling it "incredible" and "so sick".
Halsey's just dropped the first new song from her next era, a punky, angsty track called Nightmare, and we are so excited to see what comes next for the young singer who's already at the top of her game.
HALSEYYY!! That #Sucker cover on @BBCR1 was so sick We love you!! @halsey #LiveLounge pic.twitter.com/hEDVLRfzxm
