    Hartley
    Jess Gleeson

Brisbane alt-pop singer-songwriter Hartley isn't letting up in 2020, and we're so glad she isn't. Already this year, she's released her fourth single, How It Feels, as well as her debut self-titled EP at the end of January.

For some artists, that might have earned them a break, but Hartley is hustling in 2020. She's back with her new single Bittersweet, and it's a banger. Co-produced alongside Ninajirachi, it shows off a new side to Hartley - playful, yet emotional.

Speaking about the track, Hartley says,  "I wrote Bittersweet about wanting something you know isn’t good for you - ignoring the signs and the ‘bitterness’ to continue on with the sweet parts for just a little longer." It's something we can all relate to - sometimes, the worst things for us taste the best.

Bittersweet shows off Hartley's silky vocals, and Ninajirachi's production adds an extra edge to the track - it's super catchy, and you'll have a hard time getting the chorus out of your head.

Check out the track below - you'll be hearing this everywhere very soon.
