London-based but Aussie-bred producer Hopium is complimenting the recent release of his new EP, Imperfectionism, with the release of an amazing new video for his track, Crazy Ones, and we can't look away.
We're not even gonna try to explain how that amazing painted effect was created, but basically Hopium worked with his long-term collaborator Yoav Lester to utilise a method called neural style transfer algorithms.
The video consists of 5,500 frames which took the entire video a whopping 180 hours to render. It's the perfect visual to music that Hopium believes is borne from the way technology and modern relationships interact.
Hopium adds of the song and video, "It was either right or wrong, finished or unfinished, perfect or imperfect. If you never let something go it stays under your control, you don't have to step out into the unknown. You just have to put it out into the world and keep moving.”
