Jorja Smith has teamed up with Burna Boy to try and escape the heat on her new song Be Honest. It's not the pair's first collaboration, with Jorja appearing on Gum Body off Burna Boy's new album, African Giant, released last month.

The pair continue the chemistry from Gum Body, with their intertwining vocals combining into one of Jorja's most upbeat tracks yet. It focuses on the Afrobeats that Burna Boy is known for, and is the perfect song for a summer groove.

Be Honest marks the first new solo music from Jorja since her 2018 album Lost And Found, with the music video following Smith and her mates as they try to stay out of a London heat wave through taking a late night swim and a trip on a motorbike.

Speaking about the video in a statement, video director Amber Grace Johnson said, "We wanted to invite the world in, to experience a different side of Jorja. Free and full of light, and some ‘Hot Girl Summer’ energy.’

"While writing in my AC-filled apartment in Brooklyn, I thought about how there’s nothing quite like summers in the city. You’re caught between concrete high rises, sweating from heat delirium, with our makeshift fire hydrant beaches. Yet despite it all, there’s a contagious air that floods the city, and your imagination becomes infinite.”
