    Kojey Radical Has Joined Forces With Masego For The Aptly-Named 'Silk'

    British-Ghanaian rising star Kojey Radical has teamed up with Virginia's Masego to flex their style on the smooth-as-butter Silk. It's a bouncy track about pulling yourself up from the bottom and showing the world what you've got to offer. Kojey isn't afraid to talk his shit on the track, commenting that "Someone said I'm underrated, that was news to me/'Cause the fam' eat good and sleep beautifully". 

    Kojey's flow sounds as effortless as ever, gliding over production from Blue Lab Beats and Swindle. Masego gives the track some cross-continental swagger, while the soaring vocals on the hook help elevate the track and take it just that little bit higher. 

    The track is set to feature on Kojey's upcoming debut album Reasons To Smile. Kojey's using the album to explore the hip-hop that's shaped his sound, with sample nods, references and interpolations set to be ever-present on the record. It'll feature a host of artists, as well as Kojey's mum - which is a fitting touch, given how much of himself Kojey's put into this record. 

    Speaking about the album, Kojey explains, "This is the first time I've done it to the scale and ambition of what I speak. Previously it's been "I'm warming, I'm warming, I'm warming up". But I'm warm now - put me in the game”. Game time's here, and he's looking to take the winning shot.
