The Weeknd could be dropping new music on Friday.
The R&B singer just shared a screenshot of a text conversation with his creative director with a text that says, "Should we drop Friday I'm indifferent to be honest."
It's unknown exactly what he's talking about but it's got plenty of people speculating about new music given he Instagrammed a video this week of new music being "mastered".
A new music drop would make sense too given that The Weeknd is due to headline Coachella next weekend and the weekend after. Last year, Kendrick Lamar dropped new music around the same time to correlate with his Coachella headline dates.
His last record was 2016's Starboy which gave him at least two massive hits in the title track and I Feel It Coming. Surprise drops aren't really his style but his status has risen astronomically in the past few years which may mean he could pull one off.
Details about the LP have been quiet. Travis Scott let slip that it's "scray" and is like, "when I first heard him for the first time."
