Miley Cyrus is teasing the release of her new single, Midnight Sky, on August 14th, and her formerly inactive text hotline has lead to some funny interactions via text.

Last year, Miley announced a hotline for her new music, 1-833-SHE-ISMC, where you could call to hear new music.

If you called, Miley would say, “Hello, thanks for calling Miley’s hotline. Press 1 if you’re 18 years of age or older. If you’re under 18, hang up!”

If you pressed 1, you got a recorded personal message from Miley, and it was a great way to hear music first. Sounds like nothing could go wrong, right?

    Wrong.

You could also subscribe to get texts from the hotline and get exclusives, including new music. Great at the time, but that was so long ago!! It turns out more than a few people forgot they'd subscribed - and it's lead to some hilarious situations recently.

We can't wait to hear Miley's next single, as well as what else she's got in store for us. Hopefully if she ever texts us, she at least lets us know it's her before scaring us!
