PREMIERE: Nardean Reveals Adorable B-Grade 'Harry Potter' Video For 'MAGIC!'

    Nardean

Egyptian-Australian artist Nardean is back with something a little more cute than it is spooky this Halloween, premiering the video for her new music video MAGIC! today on Cool Accidents.

The song traverses her usual neo-soul/jazz/hip hop/sometimes spoken word style, with a deliberately cheesy Harry Potter-inspired video - it basically looks like what a bunch of friends would create at a slumber party with a lot of shitty costumes and cardboard, and it is wholesome AF.

"Heirloome and I pretty much had the idea of a B-Grade Harry Potter video since this song was written. And all my friends also love HP, so it wasn't hard to come up all the ideas... We took the main characters and remixed them! (My personal fave is Several Snakes who takes the place of Severus Snape)," Nardean told us.

"The team at 376 films went above and beyond designing all the sets. They were hand drawn and coloured in, I cannot believe how well they came out! A lot of my friends call my Happy, so it was only natural that I be called Happy Potter... The character goes so well with the theme of the song too. I wanted it to be like this little ball of positive energy that walks around and gives joy to anyone she encounters (what I'm trying to do in real life, to be honest)."

There's an amazing Quidditch scene, Butterbeer, and even a Great Hall, all done in earnest low-fi detail. There's even a Drake cameo (sorta).

Check it out, get across Nardean's soulful, bewitching songs and Happy Halloween!
