Nearly one year ago i was given a demo EP. Quite simply it blew me away. It was real rough around the edges and needed a little bit of work but the vocal, the bass hooks the guitar licks, the melody was all there. I didn’t know really what kind of music it was but it gave me serious goose bumps. Part Empire Of The Sun, part Joy Division, part Calvin Harris, but also none of the above.

Over the course of the year Matt and Johnny from Parachute Youth moved from Paris to Newcastle to Adelaide and finally to Melbourne. During this time we enlisted Sam La More (Tonight Only) to produce and polish the EP. He is a master but to be honest it wasn’t easy at times as we didn’t want to lose the raw appeal of this music, and what initially drew me to it, by over producing it.

One year later and the result is the completely stunning single “Can’t Get better than This”. Some kind of future music so inspiring it makes you proud to be human.

The amazing video (below) was shot by top french film clip producer Julien Paolini, traveling to Burkina Faso , under security escort, in helicopters, to hire kids to play out a drama (that actually occurs annually but was cancelled due to civil strife) in this troubled African republic.

Check out “Awake Now” too which is a single in its own right!

Breathtaking sounds like a toss, lets just say its amazeballs!
