    Peace To You All At Christmas (And Glory To New Music)

    Peace are a four piece from Birmingham apparently. UK not Alabama (sadly). People are talking them up they tell me.

    They make “MUSIC TO GRIND, ROLL & SMOKE/ MUSIC TO FUCK YOU IN THE HEART.” At least that’s what they say it is. Maybe that’s hype and you shouldn’t believe it, but they do paint peace signs over venues they play at. 10 feet high!

    I’d recommend their EP which is Delicious by name and by nature. On it they make this nice cover of the “epic techno” classic 1998 by Binary Finary (Matt Laws and Stuart Matheson). A lot of people remixed that one and called it 1999 or 2000, depending on the year they rerubbed the tune. But Peace just went with 1998 as per here:

     

    Peace are signed to Columbia so this may be the last you hear of them in Australia. But its good if you like rockpsychtechno. So cherish it.
