Hip-hop music comes faster than any other genre. It's not uncommon for a rapper to drop upwards of three projects a year and while that's great, it becomes increasingly hard to stay on top of it. 'The Rap Wrap' is our attempt to keep you in the know on the weekly. This week, we're giving you new A$AP Ferg with City Girls plus another fresh Bhad Bhabie drop.
Bhad Bhabie - Get Like Me (Feat. NLE Choppa)
Bhad Bhabie is just rolling out the hits at the moment. Get Like Me is her fifth drop this year and it's another savage, hard-hitting cut that proves once again that she's actually got bars, whether you like it or not.
A$AP Ferg - Wigs (Feat. City Girls & ANTHA)
A$AP Ferg has followed up PUPS with A$AP Rocky with another high profile collab. Wigs taps City Girls just as they are blowing up everywhere and together they've given us a charismatic turn-up track.
H.E.R. - Racks (Feat. YBN Cordae)
It's been a big fortnight for YBN Cordae. He's followed up his Chance The Rapper collab with a H.E.R. track. H.E.R. brings the wafting, soulful vocals while Cordae gives a measured, thoughtful verse.
Mustard - On GOD (Feat. A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, YG & Tyga)
Only a producer with the history of Mustard could gather together a group like this. He delivers a West Coast beat that's tailor-made for YG but each of them bring their own pizzaz.
Rich Brian - Yellow (Feat. Bekon)
Rich Brian has had a relatively quiet year on the release front but he's back with the gospel-tinged Yellow. The song goes deeper than he ever has before tapping into identity insecurities with stark honesty.
Freddie Gibbs & Madlib (Feat. Pusha T & Killer Mike)
It's enough that we got a whole record from Freddie Gibbs and Madlib today but it's even more than it features Pusha T and Killer Mike. This is an A-grade team-up of the best MCs in the game and it's brilliant. How could it not be?
