    Rap Wrap

Hip-hop music comes faster than any other genre in 2018. It's not uncommon for a rapper to drop upwards of three projects a year and while that's great, it becomes increasingly hard to stay on top of it. 'The Rap Wrap' is our attempt to keep you in the know on the weekly. This week, we're giving you new tunes from Rich The Kid and Juice WRLD plus a local cut from Manu Crooks.

Gucci Mane - Just Like It (Feat. 21 Savage)

Both Gucci and 21 are on absolute fire right now and it's no surprise that together they've created the highlight of Evil Genius. It's a brooding, slow-moving rap track that only two MCs with a presence as large as they have could pull off.

    Little Simz - 101FM

Little Simz is one of the best rappers coming out of the UK right now and she's continuing a hot streak this year with another new track 101FM. Beat-wise, it's one of the more electronic tracks she's rapped over but it still sounds distinctly like a Simz track.

    Rich The Kid - Splashin

Rich The Kid started off the year clocking huge hits like New Freezer and Plug Walk. Now he's ending the year with another hit Splashin. It follows a similar vibe to his earlier tracks, ensuring he's going to stream up a storm once again.

KYLE - Hey Julie (Feat. Lil Yachty)

If we were offering up awards for the funnest rap track of the week we'd hand it to this one. Hey Julie is the closest thing Yachty and KYLE have ever come to a nursery rhyme and it drips with charisma.

Manu Crooks - Throw It Back (Feat. B Wise)

Manu Crooks and B Wise have both had stellar years. Crooks has clocked close to 8 million streams on his song Fuego and B Wise has been all over the triple j most played lists. Together they've created a hard-hitting, unforgiving rap track that's driven by some Spanish horns.

Benny Blanco - Roses (Feat. Juice WRLD & Brendon Urie)

This is one of the most unexpected collabs of the week and yet it works perfectly. New emo meets old emo in this predictably melancholy cut that plays to both Urie and Juice WRLD's strengths.
