Taylor Swift is in the process of re-recording her first six albums after it was reported Scooter Braun has sold the master rights to those same six albums.
In case you missed it, last year Braun bought the master rights to Taylor's first six albums without her knowledge. He's now sold them to a private equity company called Shamrock Holdings.
They reached out to her to inform her of the sale, with the deal between the two parties still allowing Braun "to profit" off her old music catalogue.
She took to Twitter to confirm the news of the sale, as well as update fans on what she's currently doing. As part of the update, she says she's re-recording her old songs, which she's enjoying.
She says, "I have recently begun re-recording my older music and it has already proven to be both exciting and creatively fulfilling. I have plenty of surprises in store." We can't wait to see what those surprises might be.
