    When you ask a band as wonderfully wacky and weird as The Garden to put together a playlist of tunes that they’ve got on high rotation, you cross your fingers and hope that you get back a bunch of eclectic and odd tunes you might not have discovered any other way… And guess what? THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT THEY GAVE US.

    The Garden, for those unaware, is Wyatt & Fletcher Shears aka a set of drop dead gorgeous twins from the West Coast of America that make the kind of music that's impossible to pigeon hole based on their Vada-Vada philosophy (An idea that represents pure creative expression that disregards all previously made genres and ideals).

    If we were to have a crack at giving our best ‘sounds like’ comparison, we’d go with something like - imagine The Dead Kennedys jamming with the B-52s with Devo’s Mark Mothersbaugh on the boards and you'd sort of be heading in the right direction.
     

    The duo release their haha record on October 9 through Epitaph/Burger Records and luckily for us (Australia) they’ll be making it to our fine shores for a run of 6 shows just prior to the album dropping. For all that info head HERE.

    Until then, get your ears around the oddball mixtape they put together for us which covers everything from PC music stuffs to anime soundtrack biz to thug raps and a cumbia tune they discovered in a Mexican restaurant.

    Gangway - My Girl and Me
    My girl showed ME this song, and it was our theme song while in Japan most recently.

    Kumbia All-Starz - Rica Y Apretadita
    This is a definite tour song. Found it playing in a Mexican restaurant. Love IT. Chorus is so pretty.

    SMV- Weak
    Another great chorus on this song. I love it, the instruments and vocals combined are so smooth.

    Janet Jackson- Someone To Call My Lover (Giraffage Remix)
    When it breaks you'll know.

    Noriyuki Asakura - Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X)
    A really beautiful song from one of my top 10 favorite shows.

    Rich Gang – Tell Em
    Recently turned on to Atlanta trap.  This song has a good beat.

    MonyHorse, Junkman & PETZ – Paranoia
    Don't know too much about this group, but the crew has good flow and the beat is great.

    A.G. Cook – What I Mean
    This is the mecca for melody and perfect hooks. A.G. cook is gold.

    QT – Hey QT
    I heard this song for the first time in the Netherlands and it's safe to say it's been stuck with me ever since. Super catchy.

    Dicks - Executive Dive
    Really hard driving band with great backing vocals on this track.
