Arctic Monkeys long-awaited sixth album is coming way sooner than we all thought.
Drummer Matt Helders ran into a fan and disclosed some details to him, reportedly telling him that the new album will be out in May.
That will coincide with the beginning of their world tour. The band is strongly tipped to play Splendour In The Grass.
Previously, frontman Alex Turner told a fan that a new single will be coming "soon". If the album's dropping in May then it's going to have to come very soon.
Get ready. It's Arctic Monkeys season.
@ArcticMonkeysUS just met Al again. I can confirm the beard remains, but he gave away nothing about UK dates and said the single would be “soon” ?? pic.twitter.com/WY6DEzBgGc
