Thelma Plum has dropped her cover of Powderfinger's 1999 hit These Days, and it'll tug at your heartstrings.
She's currently busy at work writing music for the follow-up to 2019's Better In Blak, but as a Brisbane local, when asked to cover one of the city's biggest-ever bands, she jumped at the opportunity.
Speaking about the cover, Thelma says, “I was given the chance to record a song I grew up with, and as a Brissie local, I already know a couple of the Powderfinger guys so of course, I said yes.
"I even recorded parts of it in Ian’s (Haug, Powderfinger guitarist) studio, which made it feel even more natural.” Thelma sounds right at home singing the track, adding an extra layer to the lyrics - and doing the original justice.
Check out the cover below - it might just bring a tear to your eye.
She also recently announced that she's rescheduled the dates for her Homecoming Queen tour, with Kira Puru as special guest. You can grab tickets to all the dates here - and check out the full schedule below. The tour kicks off in mid-November, before continuing for the rest of the year.
