Nine Aussie artists are in the running for the 15th annual Australian Music Prize, as the finalists have been announced.
The award honours the finest Australian releases of 2019, with the shortlist filed down from more than 100 albums which made the long list.

Amongst the finalists are 2017 AMP winner Sampa The Great for her debut album The Return, while Thelma Plum has also been nominated for her debut album Better In Blak.
The other finalists on the list are Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, Methyl Ethyl, Julia Jacklin, Dispossessed, Sleep D, Ainslie Wills and Amyl And The Sniffers.
The award will be judges by a number of Aussie musicians, journalists and music industry insiders - a who's who of Australian music.
