LA-based Kiwi Thomston has been working on loads of new music this year - just last month we heard the bop Lightweight - and now he's announced that both Lightweight and today's new single Deal will live on a double EP release, out this September.
Los Angeles and London will be two EPs dropped separately but linked through their opposing moods - think breezy, sun-drenched tunes on Los Angeles and darker, moodier songs on London.
Today's release of Deal hails from the Los Angeles EP and is suitably more upbeat than Lightweight (which is on London), with crisp production and Thomston rocking a Timberlake-esque R&B vocal.
how Thomston Is Breaking The Male Popstar Drought On This Side Of The World
"I wrote it with some great fellow New Zealanders and it was one of those songs that came together so quickly and naturally, and as simple as the chorus lyric is, there’s something undeniable about the boldness of asking someone “what the deal is” in 2019, 'cause why be confrontational when there are a million other people you can talk to in an instant?” he explains.
Along with the EP announces, Thomston's also hitting the road to celebrate this September.
