Adding to the list of modern day rappers who feel just as comfortable in the rock world as they do in hip hop, Vic Mensa has just dropped a dark, dense cover of The Cranberries' Zombie.
Vic announced just last month that he was working on a punk-influenced project, full of songs that don't sit within his hip hop body of work. He mentioned he'd be working with blink-182's Travis Barker and Good Charlotte's Joel Madden on the project, which would be called 93 Punx.
The Zombie cover itself lands to mark the one year anniversary of singer Dolores O'Riordan's death, with The Cranberries announcing their last ever album.
Surprisingly, Vic's voice suits the dark drone of the song perfectly - we can't wait to see more of Vic fronting a punk band!
