Perth musician Wesley Black is getting ready to release the music video for his new single Better With You, and it's a black-tie affair. He's teamed up with producer Daunt for this one, resulting in a track that blends elements of rap, indie-pop and rock and will get stuck in your head.

The video for Better With You builds on the song's message and captures the mood that hits when an event like a prom is over. It's a reminder that even when it's hard, it's important to stay positive. We're excited to be premiering the video right now!

The music video for Better With You was co-directed and shot alongside Joel Baker and captures Wesley Black and Daunt remembering the events of the night before. It mirrors the message of the song - letting go of a love (or an event) can be bittersweet, but you have to push on.

Better With You blends guitar melodies with Wesley's vocals, and his heartache is plain to hear and see. The track starts with Wesley singing about the pain of losing someone, before switching it up. His bars on the second verse of Better With You further capture the feeling of not feeling good enough for someone. It's a great example of both his vocal dexterity and his songwriting, because it's both personal and relatable. Better With You is a vulnerable track, and one that'll resonate with both old and new fans alike.

Speaking about Better With You, Wesley says, "Better With You is a song about love, heartbreak and sacrifice. Coming off the tail-end of the trap-rap aggressive sounds of my last EP ANGEL, I wanted to allow myself to become vulnerable again in music. This is the first time I’ve opened up about the depressing lows this year has brought me, but also, the beauty of trying to understand it.

"This song is about bittersweet love, and knowing that sometimes someone is better off without you, even though you may feel as if you’re better together. The music video encapsulates this, as Daunt and myself try and enjoy life “after the prom”. When the party is over, there is always a reason to smile remaining. Sacrifices can be painful, but sometimes you owe it to someone you love."
