War On Drugs have had a massive week bagging their first Grammy for Best Rock Album.
The group took it out for A Deeper Understanding which was labelled by many as one of the best records of last year.
Pitchfork spoke to frontman Adam Granduciel about the Grammy win from New Zealand where he had just played Laneway Festival.
"We had a great time yesterday. We found out pretty early in the morning, around 11, so we had all day to kind of share the news," he said.
"That night we got to play Laneway Festival, then we came back to our hotel and hung out on the patio. It was a great day."
He further said they were, "psyched about it and honored," about the win.
There is one person though who they believe should've collected one too and that's Lorde. Lorde lost to Bruno Mars in the Album Of The Year category and Granduciel, like the rest of the internet, wants justice.
"It’s obviously a really great record, so I was surprised when I saw that," he said.
The War On Drugs will play Laneway Festival in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney this week before heading to Brisbane and Fremantle the next week. They're also due to play two headline shows in Melbourne.
Give the album a listen below because it truly is one of the best records of the past year.
