We were 99.9% sure that the new KAYTRANADA album was gonna be fire and that was even before we'd heard a single second of music... Just by looking at the cover art by the super talented Spainard Ricardo Cavolo should be enough to peek anyone's interest but then when you get a look at the star studded guest lineup it becomes an absolute no brainer... I mean C'MON!, BADBADNOTGOOD, Little Dragon, Anderson .Paak, Vic Mensa, AlunaGeorge AND even old m8 Craig David gets a look in... EPIC.
Just in case there were any doubts about it, the first taste of audio - the sublime instrumental BUS RIDE with Karriem Riggins in full blown beast mode on the skins will erase any concerns...
The combination of all those factors above had us hitting pre-order on the sxc double LP below quicker than you can say 'Wait... is that a sloth rockin' a crown?!'
Kaytranada's 99.9% is due for release on the 6th of May through the ever reliable XL Recordings and looks set to be an album of the year contender for real.
