Ever wondered what it would be like to meet your favourite musician? We definitely have. For some lucky Reddit users, that's become a reality - and they've written about their experiences. We're living vicariously through these Reddit users. Over on /r/popheads, Reddit users spoke about meeting their favourite pop stars, and what happened.
A Reddit user and their fiance told Chloe x Halle about their engagement, and their response was adorable.Babygotbrains says, "My fiance and I met Chloe x Halle. We were telling them about how we (fiance and me) met and how he proposed to me, then Halle started crying lol they were absolute sweethearts." We're swooning.
Rina Sawayama had a special surprise for a fan who wasn't able to get into her show back in 2018. Sacredboi says "After a Rina Sawayama show in 2018, a bunch of us were waiting for her to leave the venue and after like an hour or so she came right out the front door to greet fans.
"She saw one girl was crying hard and went over to ask her what was wrong. The girl then proceeded to talk about how she got to the ,show late and wasn’t allowed in. Rina asked “I’m so sorry, what’s your favorite song by me?” and then sang the whole thing to her acapella on the sidewalk." That's a memory that fan will have for life.
Kylie Minogue is a genuine national treasure. Givingyouextra told a great story, saying, "I met Kylie Minogue backstage at the BST gig in 2015. It was a shock because it was the start of the day and I wasn't expecting her to be there as she was the headliner.
"From the brief but lovely meet, Kylie literally looks like she has her own lighting rig surrounding her at all times.. She was very sweet, we chatted for about a minute at most, (like "I can't wait to see you perform, loved the last tour" etc). She has a great laugh.
"But the thing that made me really fall in love with her was seeing her at the side of the stage, living her best life, as she stayed to watch every moment of Years + Years, Chic and Nile Rodgers, Grace Jones etc. Olly Alexander's face when he saw Kylie singing along to a song of his was something I'll never forget." We'd love to stand side of stage with Kylie, what a dream?
Aurora just wanted to get into her show, c'mon. Alexgsm recounted Aurora's struggle, saying, "I met Aurora outside her gig in Manchester a few years ago! She was super sweet and gave me a hug and then asked the security at the door if she could please get into her own show."
Can someone explain how Normani can be this wholesome? Asquared98 says, "I met Normani at a Fifth Harmony album signing in 2015. It was the day before her birthday so when I got to her, I said “Happy early birthday Normani! You know us Geminis gotta stick together”. She CACKLED then endearingly grabbed my hand and swayed it back and forth for a little while with the biggest smile on her face. A moment most pleasing to me :)." Geminis need to stick together!
