Give it a listen below. We challenge you to not get it stuck in your head. Spoiler alert - you won't be able to keep it off your mind.
Don's been growing for a little while now, and initially released his hit single No Idea back in May of last year. Thanks to TikTok, the song received a whole new lease on life, and got the attention of a whole lot of new people.
He is a part of Travis Scott's creative collective Cactus Jack, and featured on Astroworld. He also featured on Cactus Jack's debut collective album Jack Boys, which dropped at the end of 2019. It' featured Toliver and Scott, as well as labelmates Sheck Wes and Chase B. It's been a whirlwind of a 12 months for Toliver.
Hundreds of thousands of TikTok users have uploaded videos using No Idea, which has seen a whole new wave of people discover and embrace the song. Here's a couple of our faves - we wish we'd thought of these ourselves!
When it comes to his music, Toliver has a simple aim, and one that's set to hold him in good stead going forward. “I want people to imagine everything in my music. I want them to take it in so they can mentally and visually feel it. My sound is so different. I’m bringing a new culture into the music game. Using effects like auto-tune and reverb with a deft touch, he may only have been around for a short time, but his sound is already sounding developed and polished.
