The future of music is in the hands of the youth, and that rings true more than ever when we listen to the level of artistry that 21-year-olds H.E.R. and YBN Cordae are putting out.
The Grammy-winning soul/R&B voice and the up-and-coming rapper (for real, he just got featured in XXL Mag's Freshman Class which is a sure sign that he's got big things coming) have collaborated on a new song called Racks and it's a smooth, sultry joint that they both shine on.
H.E.R. is a little more attitude-filled than usual, while Cordae shows off that he can spit verses as comfortably in an R&B song as in a hip hop song with Chance The Rapper.
The pair also performed together at the BET Awards this week - they took on H.E.R.'s Lord Is Coming from her record, I Used to Know Her: Part 2, with H.E.R. kicking off the song on a double bass and then delivering a show-stopping spoken word intro.
It's shiver-inducing, so make sure you watch it.
