Russian-German producer extraordinaire Zedd travels a lot for work obviously, and he's got just one gripe about hotels...
I will never understand why hotels put SHOWER gel next to the SINK!!!
Do they expect me to shower in the sink? I hope not!?
So WHY DON’T YOU JUST PUT YOUR SHOWER GEL IN THE SHOWER!?!?!— Zedd (@Zedd) August 9, 2018
He's in Australia at the moment touring with Katy Perry, so we feel partly responsible about our Australian hotels finally tipping him over the edge here.
Somewhat hilariously, his fans have noticed that the last line of his tweet ALMOST sounds like a lyric in the chorus of his track The Middle.
I am sorry but I am singing 'in the middle' melody when I read this line: So WHY DON’T YOU JUST PUT YOUR SHOWER GEL IN THE SHOWER!?!?!

IN THE SHOWER... (middle drop)

Though a couple of fans actually gave the perplexed Zedd a real answer.
I worked hotels for 15+ years. It goes on the sink because it is generally grouped with the soap and/or lotion bottles, and guests can see they are all the same "brand". If it goes in the shower, people don't see the label and assume the shower wasn't cleaned from prev guests.

And how about the hotels that DO put shampoo and shower gel in the shower (where it belongs)?
Nobody assumes they are given used products there either. I’m assuming hotels must make deals with the brands that make those skin products and prob are required to “showcase” them?— Zedd (@Zedd) August 9, 2018
Because most people tend to wash their hands whereas some people tend to skip showers. So if it’s by the sink then they’ll see it and it might convince them to take a shower.

Never stop being you, Zedd!
