From the owner of the Rockhouse hotel in Jamaica and founder of Joe’s Pub, the brothers who are all about Bungalow 8, 1Oak and The Box, and the guy who put his style stamp all over a bunch of popular downtown hangs like La Esquina & Café Select, lies a little slice of the Caribbean in Greenwich Village, New York.


 

While they were in town as part of the recent Big Day Out tour we managed to grab Christian, Andrew & Ryan of Grouplove and take them for a spot of record shopping at Mojo Record Bar in Sydney.

Buzzfeed sure love a list don’t they?… They have a tendency to be a bit hit or miss when compiling things but this one sure hit the spot for us. Titled ‘36 Things Vinyl Collectors Love’ it’s a great list that you can read in full HERE and check out a few of our faves from it below.

On Moby’s recent trip down under we managed to get the incredible opportunity to take him record shopping at the amazing Mojo Record Bar in Sydney (seriously though, where else can you do a spot of record shopping and sip on a top shelf whiskey while doing so?!)

FIDLAR recently took our Australian shores by storm by ripping Splendour In The Grass a new one and then proceeding to party/play their way around the country wowing crowds with their no nonsense (and at the same time all the nonsense!) brand of garage style punk rock.

We took the guys from Rudimental second hand record shopping when they were in Australia for this years Future Music Festival and asked them to select a few records out of the crates that had influenced them as artists and helped shape and create the unique sound that is Rudimental.
