FKA twigs, potentially one of the most relentlessly creative people on earth, has unveiled her first Nike ad, sneaking in a new song Trust In Me.

twigs is the Creative Director for NikeWomen's Spring Zonal Strength Tights campaign and she's delivered with a hypnotising ad that centres around her own music.

This year has been a pretty outstanding one for new music, here are our pixelated picks of 2014 to date…


Can you name them all?

We’ve made no secret about our love for FKA Twigs on Cool Accidents and it’s a love affair that has been gathering steam for two years, dating back to when she was just straight up Twigs.

We were big fans of Anna Calvi’s first album Desire which had a delicious filmic element and tango-ness to it. Maybe it was the flavour of PJ Harvey-ness about her.

Sadly we didn’t love One Breath as much, and probably didn’t give it enough of a chance. It didn’t seem to sell so much either.

Anna was undaunted though and has been releasing a series of rather beautiful covers of which this take on Springsteen’s Fire is very good with its darkness a great contrast to the Pointer Sister’s version.
 

Our love affair with FKA twigs continues to gain strength as we draw closer to the release of her debut full length LP 1 through XL Recordings.

The first audio/visual is here in the shape of Two Weeks and it has only helped increase our excitement levels and goes to show the hype surrounding the 26 year old is definitely warranted.

 

We’ve been all over FKA twigs for a while now (even back when she was just little ol’ twigs) and couldn’t be more excited that a release date has been locked in for her debut album with August 12 being the date you need to be highlighting on your calendars.
