Fresh off of dropping his stellar new single Swing, we caught up with local emcee extraordinaire Dylan Joel and asked him to hit us with his desert island discs, which he broke off into two sections; HOP & NON HOP.

We’ve been tracking Dylan Joel for a minute now, and now that the good folks at triple j have gone and added his latest tune Numbers to rotation, we’re not going to be the only ones keeping an eye and ear on the Melbourne emcee.

You may be familiar with the name Dylan Joel already. It could be because we’ve written a few words about him in the past or perhaps it’s because you’ve heard his jams on Triple J. If you’re already across it then you probably don’t need me to tell you that this kid has something special going on. When have I ever let that stop me though? This kid has something special going on. 

No Dylan Joel is not a new collaborative project between Bob & Billy… it’s the birth name of a local rap-cat who has been simmering away for a minute now thanks to support from triple j and their unearthed program, and this new single YEP and his forthcoming mixtape That’s Good might just be the thing that brings it all to the boil.
