We’ve been high on Melbourne’s Banoffee ever since Ninja crept into our ears near on a year ago and the couple of tracks that have followed (Reign Down & Got It) have kept those same ears well and truly pricked.
It was a hot summer’s day in Los Angeles when I was first introduced to the sweet sounds of Haim. A friend and I were driving down La Cienega Boulevard we had just picked up the sampler EP made of recycled paper, stamped HAIM (a stamp being the official hipster seal of approval yeah).
Right now I’m not swooning over cute boys playing guitars and getting all sweaty on stage. Maybe it’s my state of mind, or maybe it has something to do with the Spice Girls reuniting for the opening of the London Olympic games. Instead, the back end of 2012 seems to be all about tunes made by babe'n chicks that give it their all. Here’s a little taste of some woman who have recently made me turn it up really loud.
