Discovering new music really is like a jungle sometimes… Due to the sheer amount of releases we’re subjected to every single day as we scroll through our Facebook/Twitter/Soundcloud/YouTube/Tumblr/*insert other social media channel feeds here* it’s easy for things to get missed or sometimes it just takes a while for things to cut through.

It’s come to our attention recently that there are a bunch of performers out there that are alphabetically blocked up.

Whether it’s a fad, or just due to a poor dictionary diet, a significant wave of artists are no longer passing vowel motions.

SBTRKT, MNEK, TKST, MGMT, M83, TLC, PVT, MSTRKRFT, CHVRCHES, N*SYNC…

It seems vowels are out, consonants are in, and the only winner I see out of this is Google Search who no doubt sits and laughs at us sorry folk and our pathetic spelling attempts.

There’s a fair amount of mystery surrounding Melbourne’s Hopium not to mention a severe lack of information on the world wide web about them but here’s what we do know…

Their new single featuring Phoebe Lou of Snakadaktal fame is ALL KINDS OF GOOD.

Dreamers is… well, a dreamy slice of indie-tronic pop and since landing in our inbox has been on constant rotation, seriously we’re gonna be dreaming about this track tonight and Soundcloud, if you’re listening do us a solid and build a repeat button into your player please.
