If we were dishing out an award for our favourite Australian tune of 2014 so far, Dreamers by mysterious Melbourne electronic duo Hopium featuring the mega talented/babe-n Phoebe Lou of Snakadaktal fame would be the track written down inside our envelope and engraved onto some kind of pointy thing.

Find out what to expect live and get an insight as to what the guys are all about thanks to this totally off the wall/fly on the wall mini doco they shot earlier this year as they made their way across the States & Mexico, taking in SXSW and playing shows with Cool Accidents faves No Zu & Kirin J Callinan.

One of our favourite discoveries of 2014 has been Sydney producer Golden Features and now that triple j are flogging the crap out of his Tell Me jam (better late than never guys) we’re not going to be alone.

Over the past few weeks we’ve been lucky enough to have Louis Papantos lending a hand at the Warner/Cool Accidents HQ (That’s him above in the beanie with his business partner/mortal enemy/bane of his existence Will Evans)

We’ve been high on Melbourne’s Banoffee ever since Ninja crept into our ears near on a year ago and the couple of tracks that have followed (Reign Down & Got It) have kept those same ears well and truly pricked.

I couldn’t pick a song from the new Lower Spectrum EP so this is just an all encompassing Lower Spectrum post wherein you opt for full immersion in the five track EP instead of a single track / toe in the water. Highlights? Ohhhh, hard to say really. Probably Cathedral, Levity, Khlever, Nocturnal and Glimmer. So all of them. All the tracks are the best tracks.
