It’s a serious case of the wacky Wednesdays as our new series Craft with Kit returns for episode number two!
Following on from the craziness of the first episode with Grouplove, this time around the hostess with the mostess Kitiya Palaskas caught up with the mega talented not to mention mega babe-n local singer-songwriter Thelma Plum before she hits the road for a whole bunch of shows and decided to play on the title of her latest EP Monsters by crafting up a couple of fun monster masks.
Watch what went down on the day in the video below and then thanks to Kit’s handy step by step tutorial that follows you can make a monster mask of your very own!
Make Your Own Monster Mask!
You will need:
Assorted coloured felt
A circle of coloured cardboard
Glue Gun
Scissors
Pencil
Step 1
Use the pencil to mark out holes for the eyes of the mask. Cut the holes out.
Step 2
Cut an assortment of felt facial features for your monster - the kookier the better!
Step 3
Using the hot glue gun, stick the facial features of your choice onto the mask. Glue the eyes just below the eye holes you cut out so you can still see.
Your mask is ready to wear! You can either hang it in your house to ward off intruders, or attach some elastic to wear it as a scary yet stylish addition to any outfit.
You can catch Thelma live in action across Australia throughout November and the later part of October and do yourself a solid by grabbing Thelma’s Monsters EP which is available now where all good records are sold | streamed.
