At one point, Moby was one of the biggest, most knowledgeable electronic producers in the world so it should come as no surprise that he's got a mammoth record collection.
Well, he's now decided to ditch the whole thing and put it up for sale including signed LPs, test pressings and rare records.
In a very Moby way, he explained to CoS why he's selling the collection saying, “If I’m aspiring to enlightenment, I try to see it as just sort of like, an example of impermanence.”
“You know, like, everything we love eventually goes away. So I’m like, why not be a part of that process and help an organization I really care about?”
Moby dropped a new album Everything Was Beautiful And Nothing Hurt this year. He was also heavily sampled on A$AP Rocky's Testing track A$AP Forever.
The records will go up for sale on 14th June.
