Before the whole Daft Punk hype/hoopla that went down earlier this year you may not have been familiar with the name Nile Rodgers (and if you still aren’t it might be time to come out from underneath that rock you’ve been wedged under) but it’s an easy tip to bet you’ve heard at least one of the many hit songs he has had a guitar hand in. Or maybe it’s the bands he played in Chic and Sister Sledge that ring a bell. Both played a significant part in the rise and popularity of disco music. Some more recent collaborations of his include Daft Punk, Chase & Status and Avicii but the list goes on..(and on and on), right the way back to the 70’s in fact where he was bringing the disco vibes to records by Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, David Bowie and many more.
We were so blown away by the number and the quality of the projects he has contributed to we decided to make a disco-graphic (like an infographic but with way more groove, a funky colourway, and obviously, a spinning disco ball) to highlight these collaborations.

*the word funky is not a favourite of ours and is often misused but when it comes to old mate Nile and the Chic Organisation you can’t front, they helped invent the word or at least put the fun in it.
