1. Don’t hop up to go to the toilet while Veronica and Lewis leave triple j, bumping into them at
the door is SAFIA!
2. You might have to squint, but in the back of the cafe that’s definitely SAFIA!
3. In this shot, the director has cleverly managed to disguise an Aussie band as baristas. Who is
the band? SAFIA!!!
4. This one’s tough… Lower right hand corner; find Veronicas left arm and immediately next to
that… when you see it you’ll freak! That’s electronic act SAFIA… WHOA!
5. This one is a Kubrick-ian reference to shot #1. Just as there was a band coming in, there is
now a band coming out. Obviously one of the directors motifs is repetition because the band,
just as in the opening shot, is SAFIA.
6. Nope, it’s not the triple j receptionists, it’s only bloody SAFIA!!!
7. SAFIA.
8. This is the final shot and it’s rich with intrigue. While Veronica and Lewis are busy at work,
hidden deep in the frame there are three shadowy figures. Although Veronica and Lewis are
unable to see them, pausing the video will allow you a clear view of these unusual characters.
After trolling the deep web version of IMDB we are able to confirm that the actors appearing as
these ethereal beings are local Aussie musical trio “SAFIA”. Apparently they were just hanging
around the triple j offices and Veronica, a friend of the band, suggested they pop into the final
shot of the video for a bit of a laugh!
You can check the video yourself HERE to confirm that it is in fact definitely SAFIA.
