You can already hear the bluesy, jazzy influences on Melbourne alt-pop producer Alice Ivy's electronic tunes, so it's no surprise that when we took her to Melbourne's Northside Records, she picked out a set of classics from legends like Herbie Hancock and Isaac Hayes.
She also shares the story about the time her mum had to pick her brother up from a big Magic Dirt house party and the CD that she had stuck in her car for ages. Of course there are modern classics like Nai Palm and Aloe Blacc too.
Alice Ivy recently dropped a new song called In My Mind featuring Ecca Vandal but she's gearing up to play festivals like SandTunes and Loch Hart Festival over summer.
