    BLESSED & Maina Doe Speak About Their Relationships On The Melodic 'TROUBLE'

    BLESSED and nu-soul/R&B artist Maina Doe have combined for the emotional TROUBLE, a song that sees the pair reflecting on past romantic experiences. It's the latest taste of BLESSED's upcoming debut album, AUSSIE BLACKSTAR, which is set to drop on June 3rd.

    The song is an introspective release, featuring orchestral strings, pulsating trap percussion and reflective lyrics from both artists. Both BLESSED and Maina Doe talk about the things that weigh on their minds, reminiscing on the paths that their previous relationships have taken. Speaking about the track, BLESSED reveals that "TROUBLE is about relationships, with others and with yourself."

    AUSSIE BLACKSTAR will be released via Matt Corby's label, Rainbow Valley Records, and the 11-track album will feature previous singles NO CHANGES, LOVE YOURSELF, DOWN UNDER and now TROUBLE. The album was written during the pandemic, which allowed BLESSED to reflect on the importance of family and culture. These themes are central to his upcoming album.

    Having previously worked with the likes of The Kid LAROI, Manu Crooks, Milan Ring and many more, AUSSIE BLACKSTAR is set to see BLESSED explore his vision for the future like never before. His lyrics often look at the world around him, and the project will offer a deeper insight into how he views the world. This can be seen in the singles he's released to date, as well as his discography at large. DOWN UNDER is a reflection on the changing faces in Australian society while NO CHANGES features a message of hope for the future.

    BLESSED will bring AUSSIE BLACKSTAR to life by putting on a special headline performance at Sydney's VIVID Festival on Thursday, June 2nd. The show will feature Baby Prince, Chirine, Maina Doe, Manu Crooks and Matt Black, as well as the debut performance of BBGB, a Western Sydney rap collective featuring B Wise, BLESSED, Kwame, Lil Spacely and Manu Crooks.
