Burna Boy continues to go from strength to strength in 2019, having released African Giant to rapturous reception all around the world. He's helped pioneer Afro-fusion and has been touring the globe for the majority of this year, which sees him coming into his Tiny Desk performance in red-hot form.
The result is a four-song snapshot of what Burna Boy is all about, albeit in a more restrained context than his rowdy live shows. He performs Gbona, Wetin Man Go Do, Dangote and Ye from African Giant, and the stripped-back context allows his songwriting to shine.
