2019 saw Carly Rae Jepsen drop her latest album, Dedicated, and ever since then, it's inspired a lot of conversation.

So much conversation, in fact, that people think the album is talking about different things depending on who you chat to - which is where this Reddit thread comes in.

Taking to Reddit, user apathetic-frog has posted a wild theory talking about how Dedicated is a concept album about being a single mother - and they've brought a lot of evidence to prove their point.

Referencing tracks like Julien ("To me, Julien can be interpreted as the mother's eventual hope for a child, one that will bring more meaning to her life"), Now That I Found You (This song can be interpreted as the beginning stages of a sudden pregnancy. The mother contemplates her options in the pregnancy but feels a growing connection to her child), Want You In My Room and more, the poster puts their point across and presents the album in a whole new light. You'll want to give Dedicated another listen while reading through this thread, because it's a doozy.

Check out the full thread here, and decide for yourself. We're not quite sure if we're 100% on board, but we can't deny that it's very, very convincing.
