    Here Are Some Of Our Fave Memes Related To Charli XCX's New Album 'Crash'

    Charli XCX recently revealed that her 5th album, Crash, would be released on March 18th, 2022, and we're counting down the days until the demonic record drops. Charli's embraced her inner "global pop star" for this one, and it's very exciting.

    Crash is set to feature the likes of A. G. Cook, Rina Sawayama, Ariel Rechtshaid and a host of other names, who she convinced to work on CRASH by "using [her] femme fatale powers and a multitude of dark spells and curses." We can only wonder if she's cursed her listeners in a similar manner...

    Alongside the release of the album, as well as the album cover (which set the Internet off), Charli shared her new single, New Shapes, which features Caroline Polachek and Christine and the Queens. It's not the first time she's worked with either artist, having released Charli track Gone with Christine and POP2 track Tears with Caroline.

    New Shapes follows the previously-released Good Ones, and writing about the track, Charli notes that "if you don’t stream New Shapes you will most definitely burn in hell." The synth-pop track shows off the chemistry of the trio, and if Charli's planning a global pop takeover, then we're all for it.

    Following the love shown for New Shapes, a music video for the track has arrived, and it's an absolute doozy. The video, which was directed by Imogene Strauss, Luke Orlando, and Terrence O’Connor, takes place on the set of Charli's fictional talk show TV Heaven, where the first-ever 'performance' of New Shapes is taking place.

    The video features killer choreography from the trio, but the TV show "will only be available to stream in full once you cross over to the afterlife", according to Charli. To celebrate the drop of the New Shapes video, we've taken a look at some of our favourite Crash-related memes - that album cover is already instantly iconic.
