Charli XCX's upcoming album, Crash, is set to feature some huge collaborations, put together thanks to Charli's knack for "using [her] femme fatale powers and a multitude of dark spells and curses."
One of the ones we're most excited for is her track with Rina Sawayama, with both artists carving out lanes for themselves in the pop world over the last few years. We now have an idea of what their collaboration will sound like, thanks to a snippet that Charli shared on TikTok.
In the caption of the TikTok, Charli tagged Rina, and wrote "2022 sneak peak". The snippet sounds like an upbeat, club-ready banger, showcasing Rina's vocals. Of course, Charli cuts it off before too much is shared, saying, “That’s that, you don’t need anymore of that.” We're counting down the days until this one's properly released.
Charli's been teasing fans with information about the album for a little while now. She previously shared a text conversation with Rina, who says that "our voices work so well together".
Crash is set to be released on March 18th, 2022, and we've already heard a couple of tracks from the album. The first single from the project, Good Ones, showed off Charli's demonic side, before she teamed up with Caroline Polachek and Christine and the Queens for the retro-inspired New Shapes.
