US singer Charlie Puth has given fans another taste of his forthcoming album, Charlie, sharing his latest single, the haunting I Don't Think That I Like Her.
The fifth single from his upcoming third album (which arrives on October 7th), the new track follows on from the likes of other recent songs such as Light Switch, That's Hilarious, Left And Right, and Smells Like Me, and sees Puth teaming up with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.
In fact, the collaboration seemed to inspire some excitement within Puth himself, who had previously shared a snippet of the track on social media. "I'm not usually a fan of leaking snippets of songs before they're out, but holy fuck Travis Barker," he wrote.
I Don't Think That I Like Her had in fact been in the works for quite some time now, with Puth having originally given fans a sneak peek at the track early last year when it was still in its early stages. Initially called HER, the snippet has since been deleted, but is a testament to how eager Charlie Puth has been to get the song out in the world.
From a musical point of view, I Don't Think That I Like Her is a rather haunting track which sees Puth eager to start a new relationship, but made somewhat apprehensive due to his previous experiences. "I don’t think that I like her anymore/Girls are all the same/All they wanna do is break my heart," he sings.
