Beyoncé's dad Mathew Knowles, who is heralded as the co-creator and manager of iconic girl group Destiny's Child, has announced that he's in the process of creating a behind-the-scenes look at the group that gave Bey her start through a new musical called Survivor: The Destiny's Child Musical.
He explains, "I want to pull back the curtain. I feel it’s time to give the world an opportunity to hear, see and feel the victories and failures that I’ve had as a husband, father and manager who risked everything in pursuit of fulfilling dreams – those of mine and others.”
Somewhat weirdly, it'll be told from his perspective, so it seems like it may have more of a focus on him rather than the girls themselves.
He'll be teaming up with writer/producer/director Je'Caryour Johnson on the musical - Mathew Knowles himself is a prolific theatre veteran too and worked on Snoop Dogg's recent Redemption Of A Dogg bio-musical.
There's no word from Bey, Michelle, Kelly or even LeToya on the musical and whether they'll be contributing, but Mathew reckons he'll be bringing Survivor: The Destiny's Child Musical to Broadway, London's West End and eventually a world tour.
We're super keen to see this happen, 'cause we're sure it's gonna make the bills, bills, bills.
