    Legendary rapper DMX is in a New York hospital after a reported heart attack this weekend and is currently on life support.

    There's been an outpouring of love from celebrities everywhere, with rappers like Ice-T and Chance The Rapper tweeting their prayers for DMX.

    His family has released a statement regarding the hospitalisation, writing in a statement obtained by People, "On Friday night, April 2nd, 2021, our brother, son, father, and colleague DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, was admitted to White Plains (NY) Hospital, facing serious health issues.

    "We ask that you please keep Earl/DMX and us in your thoughts, wishes, and prayers as well as respect our privacy as we face these challenges."

    DMX is best known for his albums It's Dark And Hell Is Hot, as well as ...And Then There Was X, both released in the late '90s. He's released seven albums in total and has received three Grammy nominations.
