When you're a global superstar like Drake, you have to do a lot of travelling. However, Drake cares about the environment, so he's looking to do his part to reduce and offset his carbon footprint.
He's partnered with Aspiration, who provide “sustainability as a service” products, to work out his carbon footprint from his travel and touring schedule. That figure will be used as part of Aspiration's reforestation program, with Drake offsetting the impact of his jet setting across the world.
Aspiration is a "financial partner" that offers "socially-conscious and sustainable cash management services and investment products, so you can make money while making the world a better place". Drake's partnership is set to focus on their Sustainable Impact Services, which uses their proprietary tools and technology to offset carbon footprints.
Speaking about the partnership, Future the Prince (aka Drake's DJ) says, “Drake is a visionary with big ideas. I was incredibly fortunate to find him a partner to not only help him realize his personal goals but to inspire others along the way. Drake, Dreamcrew, and I are all super excited about what Aspiration is doing and the possibilities and the road ahead.”
Drake echoed Future the Prince's thoughts, saying, “It’s exciting to partner with a company that’s found an easy way to offer everyone the ability to reduce their carbon footprint. Aspiration’s innovative approach to combating climate change is really inspiring and I hope together we can help to motivate and create awareness.”
