What do you get a man that has it all?
If you're Drake's uncle, you find his first music-related check, and frame it for him and give it to him for Christmas. A great gift, if you ask us.
Posting on his Instagram story, Drake says, “My uncle found and gifted me my first earnings from music. Came a long way from 3 bills in royalties.”
The check is made out to Drake (aka Aubrey Graham), and is $304.04 from the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada, on November 15, 2007.
At the time of the check, Drake wasn't signed to Young Money. He'd just dropped his Comeback Season mixtape, and he was a world away from becoming one of the biggest musicians of all time.

Nowadays, Drake is a multi-millionaire, but it's a great reminder that we all come from somewhere. He's currently gearing up to release his sixth album, Certified Lover Boy, in January 2021, which will surely see his reputation grow even bigger.
For now, though, check out the Instagram story above thanks to @ourgenerationmusic - it's a reminder to keep hustling.
